Biographical Tag

Front of tag reads:
Leroux's Erik The Original Opera Ghost Limited Edition for the 100th anniversary of Gaston Leroux's classic novel The Phantom of the Opera (Le Fantome de l'Opera) For ages 3 and older. Remove this tag before giving to a child. Leroux's Erik 2009 by Six Point Design. All Rights Reserved

Back (top left) reads:
Erik is the very image of horror. His dress coat hangs on his skeletal frame; his eyes are set so deeply one sees only two empty sockets as in the skulls of the dead. His pasty yellow skin is stretched over his bones tight as a drum. He has no nose, only a vacant hole, terrible to behold. All the hair he has is a few long, dark locks behind his ears. He is truly the unhappiest and most sublime of men. Shudder not at his appearance but at the splendor of his genius and the size of his heart, capacious enough to contain the whole world.

Back (bottom right) reads:
Proper Care of your Leroux’s Erik
Erik comes to you hiding his terrible face from the eyes of mankind behind a black silk mask like the one his poor, unhappy mother gave him for his first present. If you feast your eyes upon his accursed ugliness, remember that once you have seen him you belong to him forever. Though called a monster, at heart he is not at all wicked; all he ever wanted was to be loved for himself. If you love him, he will be as gentle as a lamb, and you can do anything you wish with him. Only love him and you shall see.
