El Gibbs is linguist and a teacher. She indulges in many creative hobbies, the most prevalent of which is drawing. A particularly big fan of movie monsters and Gothic Romances, El has nurtured a particular fondness for Erik ever since she first read Leroux's novel. Leroux's Erik has featured in several sketches, stand-alone drawings, and mini comics on her deviantART page. While not a designer or artist by trade, she has experience in t-shirt design for student organizations and mural-painting from 2003 to the present. Always one to use her meager skills for good, El was thrilled to be invited to assist on the Erik Plush Project and had no end of fun creating a design to finally bring one of her favorite literary figures to life--er, well, plush.
